Zion National Park - Angel’s Landing
After doing Observation Point, which as
the name implies is a view from the highest point out of all the hikes in the
park, we were in doubt as to whether or not the view from Angel's landing would
be much better or any different given its close proximity, and the weather
forecast for Monday (which was calling for rain) actually got worse as time
progressed. But Mother Nature must have been on our side because when we woke
up the next morning it wasn't raining and by the time we were done eating
breakfast the sun was up and the sky looked clear so we decided to do Angel's Landing
even though the forecast was still calling for rain. In hindsight we made the
right decision because the rain didn't come until late that afternoon and the
view was well worth the hike - we got to see more of the canyon in the opposite
northern direction compared to the view from Observation Point.
An early morning start was necessary in
order to avoid the crowds and bottleneck heading up the chains on this popular
hike.

After Angel’s Landing,
we squeezed in one last hike on the Watchman Trail near the visitor center at
the park entrance before the rain came. View of The Watchman on the
