These
golden fields of canola along the road were a beautiful sight.

Riders
(like Charles and Linden) rarely pass up an
opportunity to indulge on ice cream, even when it's just before the 10 mile
climb over Thompson
Pass.
|
After
biking 600 miles the first week, including 3 days of back to back centuries,
this rider (Neil) is ready for a rest!
|
Week 2 begins with a group photo at Adventure
Cycling Headquarters in Missoula,
Montana.
|
Most of
our stays each night were at small town schools like the one shown here in
Townsend, MT. Riders had the option of tenting
outside or sleeping inside on the gymnasium floor.
|
Breakfasts
and dinners, arranged by Cycle America, were either at a nearby restaurant or
served at the school by a local community organization.
|
Staff
members Ryan, Dan, and DC race with the Mustangs outside the school at Ennis, MT.
|
Cowboy
towns were common as we made our way across Montana
and Idaho.
|
Riding
during the traffic free morning hours over Montana's rolling hills, with views of
snow capped peaks in the distance, was pure delight!
